Here's my pick up for today. I got a few new titles, a lot of discount older comics, and lots and lot of He-man #1's in preparation of the Philip Tan signing this Saturday! Also, if you're looking for TMNT toys, check TRU website for the Nickelodeon figures, and check Amazon for the Classic 6" figures. Thanks for watching!

AvsX Round 8: This is my first time taking advantage of the AR smart device application. It's pretty impressive how they gave a back story on how Namor flooded Wakanda and how powerful it was. Overall, I felt that the series is still in a good direction. This issue was an enjoyable read, and I love the scene when you turn the page and all of the Avengers show up. Gore points on the Red Hulk moment! ..and Spidey's line at the end was awesome! haha funny stuff. (Rating 4 out of 5: No complaints.)
Captain Marvel #1: My first impressions were: entertaining battle, interesting cameos, and nice paint-style art. It was an entertaining book, but the transition of the first two stories were too abrupt for me. Felt like two different books, and the art felt like it changed a bit too. Cool new costume for Carol Danvers... but I hope she gets her long hair back. Not a fan of the female mohawk. Writing was o.k., seemed like the dialog was forcing the humor. I expect that from Spidey or Deadpool comics, but Captain Marvel? I'll continue with the series to see what type of story can be created. (Rating 3.5 out of 5: Visually pleasing, but no real start of a story.)
Revival #1: Started off slow for me, but right when it got to the barn scene things got exciting! My first impressions was either an alien or zombie-like plot, but it's interesting how unique the "revived" peoples' abilities are. Love the ending scene. And the teeth on the floor scene was gross but awesome! Love the art, and I think I just added a new title to my pull list. =P (Rating 3.75 out of 5: interesting take on the living dead, ending and cliff hanger leaves you wanting more.)
Danger Girl G.I. Joe #1: Same old story. Joes mess up, so the president cancels their missions. I love the J. Scott Campbell cover art.. but the art inside may be a bit cartoony for me. I'll probably pick up #2 just for the Campbell cover art of Scarlett, but after that I'll drop this series. (Rating 2.5 out of 5: Felt like a predictable 90s cartoon episode.)
